Volkswagen experienced a new generation of crossover Tiguan in the mountains

Volkswagen has continued to test the new generation crossover Tiguan . This time Photospies managed to shoot a car during tests in the mountains.

According to the spy photos, the car will look like a small copy of Touareg. The novelty has received a new grille, roof rails and the exhaust system with two tailpipes. The model will be offered in five- and seven-seat version. As previously explained the managing director of Volkswagen Australia John White, a completely redesigned Tiguan looks phenomenal.

The crossover will be built on the platform MQB, the new product will be significantly lighter than its predecessor. According to preliminary data, the new generation of the car will be longer than 5.5 centimeters and get shorter front overhang.

According to unofficial information, in the range of motor trends will include 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0-liter petrol aggregates. There will also be available two diesel engines of 1.6 and 2.0 liters. Later will be presented and hybrid versions of the crossover. The structure of the power plant will include a 1.4-liter gasoline turbo engine and an electric motor. The total capacity of the hybrid version of the car will make 215 horsepower.

The prototype vehicle will be first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which will begin in September 2015. The serial version of the crossover can be presented at the Auto Show in Detroit in January 2016.
