Honda has launched to test a new generation of sedan Civic. Photospies managed to shoot a novelty in a road test in the United States. The official debut of the car is likely to be held in autumn 2015, said.
Judging from the photos, the car will get LED lights, other bumpers, sloping roof and other grille. The car will be equipped with advanced safety systems such as adaptive cruise control, rear view camera, the function of autonomous braking system and hold the vehicle in the lane. The car will get a new instrument panel, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and updated infotainment system with a small display.
The car will be available with two engines to choose from. One of them will be the 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder. The unit will work with the six-speed manual transmission or a CVT CVT.
As described previously executive vice president John Mendel, the average fuel consumption of one of the units will be 5.8 liters per 100 kilometers. In addition, the top manager said that the new product will not receive a hybrid version and modification, which runs on gas. According to Mendel, standard power units of the new Civic will be extremely environmentally friendly, to meet the needs of car owners.
The new Honda Civic will be available for purchase in the sedan, coupe and five-door hatchback. Later, customers will be offered two “charged” version – Si and Type R.
